The OCP Fast Fail Reads spec focused on read commands. In the mater of completing commands without an error, ACS-5 expanded the Fast Fail Reads concept to include writes, with the potentially disastrous result that write commands might report completion without an error even though not one byte of data has been written. To some OCP contributors this is carrying a laudable idea far past any point of commonsense.
