Data Set Management Proposal for ATA-ACS2
The first version of this proposal was called the “Trim” command proposal. The “trim” command carries information related to deleted data blocks to the device for optimization. Research has shown that information other than deleted data blocks provided by host can also be useful to device. One example would be the frequency of data access for writing or reading. A collected set of such information is called “data set attributes”. The proposal now is called “Data Set Management Commands”
